Hi. I’m Suraya Issa, Founder and President of Les Abreh Chips. We’re a natural, multigrain super foods manufacturer that believes it’s our responsibility to leave the planet better than we found it. ​So, to begin our story we need to rewind to 1070 BC in Napata, Kerma…. there was the kingdom of Kush. An ancient kingdom in Nubia – where shul why-why or (Take One) snack was not only loved, but also enjoyed. Growing up in a Nubian household, I learnt that every family had a unique recipe for making shul why-why. The recipe is top secret. It’s passed down from one generation to the next. This snack is mainly prepared during holidays or major celebrations or feast. I am happy to share this piece of family secret with you.
